- Enjoy relaxed independent reading
- Develop the ability to choose "just right" books
- Engage in literature and research-related activities
- Develop knowledge, skills, and understanding related to information literacy and literature appreciation
- Use a variety of resources - print and digital sources, observation, data collection, and so on
- Use a variety of research skills and strategies
- Engage in both independent and collaborative learning
- Share information and ideas
